We have lots more photo's of Tom that will be adding in the coming weeks and months.
I have ORB's showing raids and when I can get to see Tom again I have permission to scan all of his amazing log book.
For now though, a piece in his local paper and then a photo of him with his parents at Buckingham Palace collecting his DFM.
On the 10th Dec 1943 Tom was awarded the DFM, the London Gazette reads;
591744, Flight Sergeant Thomas SAYER, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, No. 102 Squadron.
One last photo, which you will note has written on the top of it, 'Restricted'.
Tom is the man stood under the letter S of restricted, we are trying to find out who some of the other people are. This will be mid 1943 at Pocklington.
Dont forget to hit the photo and then press the square sign in the bottom right hand corner to make the photo go very large.
