102 (Ceylon) Squadron

Tentate et perficite (Attempt and Achieve)

Tom Wingham used to produce three times a year, a newsletter for the association.
In September of 2011 Mike Cummings, with the help of Tom and myself produced an excellent newsletter and he did so again in March/April of this year (2012).

We will be adding links all over the site to other web sites that have information about the 102 Squadron, there are many of them.

To get the best out of the search engine please place terms within speach marks, ie "Joseph Marsh". Single words can just go in the box.

This thing is not perfect so if you don't find what you are looking for, please email the webmaster before giving up.

The 102 (Ceylon) Sqn. Association

For many, many years one man has kept the association going, compling newsletters, and arranging the anual reunion.

Flt.Lt. Tom Wingham DFC. (RAF Retd). was with 102 Sqn from Febrary to June 1943 and is now the Life President of the 102 Sqn Association. If you wish to contact Tom, would you please email HERE.

As of Saturday July 21st, 2012 the new secretary of the Association is Simon Kularatne, son of Ananda Kularatne.

Subscriptions to the 102 Squadron Association.

Could you please send your Association subscription to Simon as he has also taken on the role of Treasurer.

Roughly 18 months ago, we here at the website, helped Mike Cummings put together a newsletter for all the Association members, Simon has now taken over the editing of this newsletter.
The cost of printing these things out, and then sending them has rocketed and so we really do encourage people to think about joining the Association and paying the minimum amount of £5.

What's the difference between an 'Association Member' and, an 'Associate Member of the Association'???

To be a full member of the association you have to have belonged to 102 Squadron at some point, either during the war years, or between 1954-56.

To be an associate member you only really need to have an interest in the 102 Squadron, however many of us 'Associate members' have family members who flew with the Squadron, BUT, memebership is open to EVERYONE.

To become a member of the 102 Squadron association if very easy, you just have to speak to Simon, and send him the minimum anual fee of £5 (five GB pounds). (Please see above)
