Sergeant Norman Kelvin Bott

On the 28th August 1940 a Whitley V - N1489 - Code: DY-C took off from Leeming.

This was a cross country flight to the Isle of Man.

We have no idea what happened to N1489 but it ended up flying into the hillside at Silsden Farm near Keighley in Yorkshire

Sgt. Norman Kelvin Bott is buried in Leicester, Welford Road Cemetery
P/O. Alexander William Fletcher is buried in St. Michael's Churchyard, Cumner, Berks
Sgt Charles W. C. F. Harrison is buried in St. John Baptist, Leeming
Sgt Alan Steel is buried in Mexborough Cemetery
