One of two 102 Sqdn planes to be lost this night, MZ871 DY-G with A/G Sgt James Williams being the other.

Airborne 11.57 from Pocklington to attack one of the airfields at Mulheim thought to in use as a forward supply point for the Ardennes Offensive. Caught in a barrage of Flak and partially abandoned before crashing 1430 near Krefeld.

F/S Lindenboom is commemorated on Panel 261 on the Runnymede Memorial, his Skipper is buried in the Reichswald Forest War Cemetery.
